And since you’ll have Unlimited Access to weekly classes in Hudson, and Akron, Ohio, you’ll be surrounded by a community of dedicated students, teachers and practitioners of Yoga, meditation and more from The Spiritual Life Society.
ONE WEEKEND PER MONTH FOR 10 MONTHS; 9AM - 5PM on SAT & 9AM-4PM on SUN
Don’t worry if you can’t make all sessions. Larry and Matt pioneered affordable and accessible YMTT formats where students could start whenever they wanted and continue at their own pace to complete their training. There will be a number of options if you miss a session or two, including: taking it when it is repeated next year; reviewing videos of earlier trainings; taking some additional classes workshops with Larry or Matt in person or online; or special independent study.
Since the weekends account for a total of 160 hours, you will also need to complete an additional 40 hours minimum at special workshops/classes in evening or weekend and/or online or independent study. If you wish an additional specialty certification such as Teaching Meditation, Teaching Chair Yoga, or Teaching Yoga Nidra, you will need additional hours, too.

Please bring this up at the orientation if you would like to discuss.

December 13 & 14th:
📿Module 1: Saturday 9am-1pm: Inversions and Restorations. Common mistakes and corrections with multiple variations
📿Module 2: Saturday 1pm – 5pm: Anatomy: Cleansing, Fasting and Kriyas, it will include reviewing the elements of a yoga class for beginners including a full one-hour class taught by one of the trainees.
📿Module 3: Sunday 9am – 12:30pm: What it means to lead a Spiritual LifeDharma and Sadhana will be discussed along with a meditation on finding your calling.
📿Module 4: Sunday 12:30pm – 4pm: The Value of a Teacher and a Tradition. It will follow with a review of your personal practice and another one-hour class taught by one of the trainees.
More about Larry and Matt
Larry Terkel is the founder and and president of the Spiritual Life Society, is a best selling author, and a world-record holder in Senior Olympics swimming. He is also adjunct professor at Kent State University where he teaches "Intro to World Religions". He studied with BKS Iyengar for over 20 years and spent a month with Swami Satchidananda in Sri Lanka with a small group of students.

Matt Lerner is Chairman of the Spiritual Life Society and co-founder of the Main Street Yoga Centers, which includes two centers in Ohio and additional centers in Wisconsin. He is also Chairman of Elevate Akron. He is a direct disciple of Swami Rama and has studied in ashrams in the USA and India.
